With patio season finally here, my thoughts turn to warm summer days lounging in the backyard, sipping margaritas while the kids play cooperatively in the sandbox. Sure, the last part is but an impossible dream, but there's nothing to stop me from making the lounging and the margaritas happen.

While there's something to be said for sipping wine out of those big red keg cups in the summer, I admit I always feel a little fancy when my Albarino is an actual wine glass. Unfortunately, if you're picnicking, glass isn't going to cut it.
Summer break starts in two weeks down here in Atlanta (yes, two weeks!), so I'm already stocking up on cool kids' games and activities to keep my kids occupied.

I take lunchbox shopping verrrrry seriously. I need a durable, reusable lunch pack for the kids that is insulated, looks great, is eco-friendly, and stays closed (so the leftover crumbs don't take up residence in my car). Take it from a woman who just took on a thousand goldfish crackers wreaking havoc in the trunk: we've found a fabulous new option.

A passport case is one of those small indulgences I've always wanted but it never seemed necessary. But with a few international trips under my belt recently, and seeing how ratty mine is getting compared with my kids' less-used passports, I'm ready to the take plunge.

I'm always amazed to see the vast improvements in baby gear even since my littlest one, only two, was a baby, which gives me hope that they will one day be able to manufacture sleep for us parents. Ha.
