I love beautiful bento lunch boxes, but some of them make you feel like you need an MFA in order to make your kid’s lunch. Especially holiday-themed lunch boxes!

For Halloween I decided to come up with a few easy, festive lunch ideas. I found tons of excellently adorable inspiration from around the web. I’ve rounded up 6 of my favorite ideas to help you make a spooktacular bento lunch box, no artistic talent required.

As a designer, Genevieve likes things to look fabulous, but as a busy working mom, she needs lunch to come together quickly. Agree? Want to serve up an even simpler spooky snack? Pack these adorable tangerine jack-o-lanterns from One Life as Housewife. All you have to do is draw on the skin with a regular permanent marker. You can get as fancy–or not–as your artistic ambition allows.

I love this lunch box built around edamame with spooky eyes from Family Fresh Meals. All you need to do is place these candy eyes (available through our Amazon affiliate store or a baking supply store) atop a pile of steamed shelled edamame, available in the freezer aisle of most supermarkets.

It doesn’t get more simple than these Mummy Drink Boxes from A Pretty Life in The Suburbs. Wrap ’em up with white duct tape, glue on a pair of googly eyes (available through our Amazon affiliate store or your local craft store), and they’re good to go. And so are you.
