Changing diapers is hardly what I'd call my chicest hour. But then I had never used this.

Don't miss a great giveaway after the jump!
The new Patemm navy chevron-striped pad is available exclusively at Pottery Barn Kids--and yay for the small mom-run company that created it. We have loved Patemm changing pads going way back to 2006 for the super smart round design that allows moms to lay their little one down any which way for a diaper change and not have them squirm themselves off a corner.
And after all these years? They're still made in the US.
This mom-invented marvel is way more than just a changing pad. It actually folds into a handy carry-all, with inside pockets for diapers and wipes, too. (Hey, designer Grace Welch was on Oprah talking about her cult-fave company. Could it be so wrong?) It's not necessarily a replacement for your standard diaper bag, but it's perfect for grabbing for a day in the park or a playdate, allowing you to pack some toys and essentials in there too.
With the cool chevron pattern, it gets my vote for awesome baby gift this year. Not only because I'm a fan of the pattern, but because I think every mom should have more pleasant diaper changing experience. If there is such a thing. -Melissa
