Easy DIY baby Halloween costumes are nothing to be scared of

If you are juggling a needy infant or a get-into-everything toddler this October, the last thing you probably want to think about is spending hours creating a fancy Halloween costume for your little pumpkin. It's one of the reasons we love Halloween costumes for babies like this one.

But if you're up for a DIY, fear not! Especially when these ideas are so easy and yet so perfect for Halloween. Promise.

With a colorful onesie, some felt, and a pair of scissors, you can pull together one of three simple costumes from NYC's Pins & Needles: a surprised ghost, smiling pumpkin, or lovey-dovey skeleton.

Just print out one of the free hand-drawn DIY Halloween costume templates by Rachel Law, and affix your felt pieces either by sewing or with fabric glue (my favorite!).

By increasing the size of the template on your printer, you can even print larger sizes to go on your own tee shirt. Inhabitants of cold-weather Halloween climates could use long-sleeved onesies and put them over warm tights--or you could even put the patterns on heavy sweatshirts if you plan to take your little one out trick-or-treating.
