Romero Britto, come to baby

Quinny stroller BrittoBack when I was shopping for baby gear for my now-tween, my choices for stroller and car seat covers were pretty blah: Solid navy, neutral plaids, and teddy bear. You new mamas have it so good, especially those of you with a penchant for the modern pop-art of artist Romero Britto which is coming soon to two of our favorite brands: Quinny strollers and Maxi-Cosi infant car seats

The bright colors and graphic designs of Romero Britto's work give such a big visual punch to the red/black combo on both the Quinny Moodd single stroller and the Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat. Though not out until September 15th, you can pre-order the items you want now and be ready to ring in fall with some modern style.

Just think: When you have to park your stroller in a clump at the playground, you won't have to search too long to find your Quinny in the sea of all-black strollers.

If you want to coordinate your baby gear, the Mico Infant Car Seat is compatible with the Quinny. There are optional add-ons like parasols and sun shades, though I do find the designs on the shades to be a bit too cutesy for my taste.

You'll spend anywhere from $60-$100 more for the Britto versions of the Mico or Moodd, but for those who really want their baby gear to reflect their design aesthetic, splurging on a couple of high-usage, must-have baby items is probably a lot more practical than a hand-painted modern-art mural in the nursery that you'll be too tired to notice most nights. -Christina

You can preorder both Romero Britto's designs for the Quinny Moodd stroller and the Maxi-Cosi Mico Infant Car Seat at Ideal Baby & Kids. They will be ready to ship on September 15, with accessories ready later in the fall.
