I know I'm not the only one who's always wondered if there's an easier way to pit cherries. Every year, I wait for cherry season with much anticipation, only to be reminded that with half of my kids needing me to pit their cherries before they can eat them, I'm facing a slow, tedious task, even though I'm fairly handy with a knife.

We've had this for a couple of years, and my daughter had the hand strength for it at around four. We LOVE it. It cleans up easily, has held up well, and makes eating cherries a much more regular thing. I do suggest doing it in the bowl of some variety to prevent the spray from getting everywhere if you hate getting stains out of clothes as much as I do.
Also, it isn't as speedy as my hand held pitter (though even with its mess, it is less messy) so when I am doing a large bunch I still use mine.
How awesome is this!
