You've got to know when to fold M.

"Free" is one of our favorite words. And now you can spell it out in three fancy dimensions, thanks to this clever series of papercraft templates.

And did we mention that they're totally free? And that M is for Monster?

Digitprop is a website by parent and biochemist Markus, who offers free templates and papercraft project to entertain and amuse. We were struck by this amazing printable alphabet, which includes PDF templates for all twenty-six letters. My favorite is the N for Ninja, which includes some fascinating information on why ninjas dress the way they do. I also dig the Q for Quetzalcoatl and the W for Walrus.

Each letter works for both English and German, but you're going to need a lot more letters to spell anything in German.

All you need to create an entire alphabet is a color printer, a bunch of paper, a dab of glue, some sharp scissors, and well, lots of patience--especially for the teeny faces of the mother and baby kangaroo. That's about as close to free as you can get when it comes to handcrafted ninjas. Happy folding!~Delilah

Thanks for sharing this! My little sidekick will love the ninja especially, since he ninja-attacks his adult brother every chance he gets.

Haha, that is a great post title :-) .

Whoa! This is great! We're moving into a new house and we're looking for ways to decorate my kid's room. It will be nice to spell her name with these and then hang them on the roof! =)

loved these cute letters. Tried the easiest "I" as well as the letter "A". However, the template that I have downloaded and printed has given me very small letters less than 2 inches. Does anyone know if there is a way to enlarge the template for bigger letters??
