Fedoras for boys - so much cooler than trucker hats

My boys dig hats, and I must admit, I love when they rock them. A cool lid can provide the perfect pop to any outfit--but it's gotta be the just the right size otherwise it just looks like something out of a dress up closet. That's why I love finding well-made hats designed just for kids.

Liv and Lily is an accessory brand that gets kid-sized dimensions and honors them in the most rad possible way. The girls stuff is a little frilly for my tastes, but I think they excel with boys hats. While the newsboy cap is awfully cute, new favorite look is the brown kids' fedora. It's a lightweight straw hat that's just perfect for the summer time, as a funkier alternative to baseball caps or bucket hats.

Maybe you can even snag one in time for Mother's Day brunch next week?

Oh, and don't fear the fedora, mamas! It looks great with a pair of skinny jeans or dressed up with khakis. I've only found the hard part, at least with my boys, is getting it off their heads to wash their hair. But, my son argues, the whole hair washing thing is overrated anyway. Good thing it's under a hat then, huh. -Eva
