Father's Day food gifts from New York MouthWhile you can expect a lot more ideas for dads in our upcoming Father’s Day Gift Guide series, we couldn’t wait to share this awesome one for the food-loving father in your life. After all, isn’t that all of them? (Seriously, a love of food must be a requisite for procreation. I’ve yet to see otherwise.)

I am completely obsessed with the new website, New York Mouth, which offers all kinds of indie-minded gourmet gift baskets mostly sourced from local NY area purveyors, as you might have guessed from the name. Best of all, it’s available to those of you not in the 212 vicinity.

It’s superbly well-curated–clearly the founders have a true passion for discovering and supporting small companies making great products. The site itself has got fabulous design, and a clever, bloggy tone that makes it fun to browse–but it will be hard not to shop, trust me.

Just in time for June 17, the gourmet Father’s Day gift pack is pure awesomeness. This taster tote includes so many amazing, made-for-men goodies like Nunu Chocolate’s Bacon Toffee Bar, Smoky Chipotle Lime + Beer Crackers from American Vintage, and Small-Batch Bitters from Bittermens. Then again, who’s to say women wouldn’t love it too? After all, McClure’s Bloody Mary mix was a recent pick in our own Mother’s Day Gift Guide.

(A good Bloody Mary knows no gender boundaries.)

The collections start at $65, though most are in the $100+ range so this is for serious foodies, or group gift-giving. Maybe even for a end-of year teacher gift?

Or if you fall in love with a single product, you can toss that in your cart too. I’m looking at you, fig balsamic vinegar. –Liz
