The travel crib that raises the bar for all other travel cribs

Baby Bjorn Travel Crib LightMy first baby had a play yard. It was great for storing all kinds of new baby gifts, diapers, blankets. You get the idea. We didn't bring it out at all with my second child, giving it away soon after she was born. Then came number three. And I decided that a portable crib isn't such a bad idea, after all.

Now, there's one that might be the answer to my oh-my-goodness-I-need-to-put-this-baby-down-somewhere-safe-for-five-minutes-so-he-won't-eat-electrical-cords-while-I-cut-carrot-sticks-for-my-big-kids woes.

[don't miss a great travel crib giveaway after the jump!]

The Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light is the easiest-to-put-together piece of baby gear I have ever seen. Ever.  Let me put it to you this way: when my review sample arrived, I pulled it out of the box, lifted it out of the storage bag, looked for instructions, and didn't find them. I put the crib together in less than a minute, anyway. No kidding.

It's just as easy to fold up, too. In fact, it's so incredibly simple to use that I actually try to demonstrate this thing every time people come over. Overkill, maybe, but it's just that awesome.

Plus, it looks really good. No gaudy prints or ugly colors that will make you regret the purchase when it's smack in the middle of your living room for a month. Just simple, clean lines and décor-friendly colors. I particularly love the silver, but there's a new black option that's just come out, too.

Stylish, unobtrusive, easy to use and convenient. What more could a parent ask for? Well, okay, other than that elusive extra set of hands, I mean. -Stephanie

It's nice but is the most expensive option on the market - nearly triple what I paid for a standard Graco Pack n' Play.
