What's hot for kids in LA? Ask Lifesize Kids
On a trip to LA last month, I knew I had to stop into Fred Segal, my retail happy place for many many years. While I'm not in the market for a $700 pair of shoes this particular moment, I always love stopping into the kids boutique there to see what LA mamas are procuring for their stylish offspring these days. Lifesize Kids is a fun shortcut to check out what's hot for SoCal tots. The answer: high-end designer brands like Splendid, Stella McCartney Kids (love the denim dress, shown here, even if the price makes me gasp), Billabong, Pink Chicken, and of course, Ugg.
What is it with LA and their love for Ugg anyway? It's 65 in February, you crazy people.
But it's not all rhinestones and gold appliqués, jeweled flip-flops and $138 cashmere pants for babies. There's also lots of our own favorite brands like Beatrix, Diaper Dude and the increasingly popular new organics line Apple Park, along with funky vintage comic tees for kids from Mini Trunk that I adore.In other words: Celebrities!
