For some reason my daughter has been obsessed with the idea of make your own cupcakes lately. Oh wait...I remember why. Because cupcakes are good.Portland's Saint Cupcake does as magnificent a job as I've ever seen with a make-your-own cupcake kit. Start by choosing your fresh-baked cupcake flavors, from vanilla, chocolate and red velvet to more adventurous flavors like pumpkin spice or vanilla toffee. There are even vegan flavors for those of you sweet on cupcakes but not butter and eggs.
The kits make a spectacular gift for a sweet-lover in far-off places.
I've only tasted a couple of the flavors, but am ready to taste more,
despite protests from my thighs to the contrary. Considering they start
at just $12 for a fully decked-out box of 3, I don't even need
Valentine's Day--or my kids--for an excuse. -LizFind More: Food and Drink, Getting crafty

So sorry, very, very, cute, but ummmm...they bake the cupcakes for you? That doesn't seem quite "make your own" Liz....what about licking the bowl? For pure flavor the cake mixes and the kids kits from King Arthur Flour beats any other cake mix or cupcake kit around...
Ha, great point Kerry, they're definitely NOT make your own! They're decorate your own and intended for gifts. Think: A mom/pop alternative to Harry + David?
The day I bake my own cupcakes, package them like this, and send them to friends...well, I might as well go to work for Saint Cupcake then! -Liz
I am debating participating, I have not yet started to train. Post back and maybe we can figure something out! Always better with someone motivating you!
