Green with eco envy

The new shop Green Eyed Monster isn't about jealousy; it's about sustainability. But that's not to say if you go shopping there that you won't find something that will make people wildly jealous.

All the designers at this mom-run shop support earth-friendly values through their work, and if you dig around, you may find some treasures. I like the simple little earrings from Lemonade Handmade, and stationery like the bird cage cards from design studio Bark (at right). A whole line of resusable sandwich bags, a hot item on CMP this season, also look promising.

But my favorite item of all has to be the reusable dryer sheets (above) sporting the phrase Keep Calm and Recycle On. They're really upcycled tees filled with organic lavender buds, and evidently you can run them right through the dryer. Do they work? No clue. If not, I'd stick them in my sock drawer like a sachet, and get a giggle every morning. -Liz
