Hospital gowns get a (much needed) upgrade

Pretty Pushers Delivery Gown - maternity hospital gown I know none of us cared what we looked like during the moments our babies were born. The health of baby and mama were the most important things in the universe, and there was very little room for vanity. But when I think back to all the hours (many many hours) before and after that newborn snuggle came, I know I would have liked to feel a little bit less like a linebacker and a little more feminine.

I would have loved to be wearing this Pretty Pushers delivery gown. It would have eliminated the inevitable cringe at that picture of me and my newborn baby where I looked like one big rectangle of light blue.

This pretty hospital gown can be worn with all monitoring devices including an epidural, so doctors don't have to worry about it interfering with the birth process. And perhaps it will make mama feel a little more feminine on those long walks up and down the hallway begging the baby to get a move on.

While this delivery gown caught my eye for being pretty, I remained interested based on it being affordable. I don't think $24 is much money to spend for something that will make us feel even a tiny bit attractive during those long delivery hours. They also have a very pretty organic hospital gown for you organic-minded mamas with a few extra dollars to spend. -Carrie

Wow, I had a c-section but wearing that after would have made me feel amazing. I would definitely invest in one of these for my next baby (fingers crossed).

You are always showing the most interesting stuff. Thank you for all of the great links.

This is genius. I so wish I'd had one when my son was born in June. Oh well. I guess I'll have to bookmark it for Baby #2 in a few years!!

I love this idea - but many of these are so expensive compared so something basic like this: http://www.amazon.com/Gownies-Maternity-Hospital-Medium-Nicole/dp/B002BB586C/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qlEnable=1&qid=1280795251&sr=1-3 on Amazon that is only $30. My concern with the $70 versions are that the gown will definitely become soiled anyway and you will likely want to toss it - so why not go with a cheaper version?

Love the posts and all the wonderful finds - just thought I would throw in my two cents on this one!

I never even thought of this. Thanks! I'm due October 28.

My first pic with my son I was still in my street clothes (fast labor) but I cringe every time I look at any of the other pictures from the hospital. I didn't want to mess up the gowns I brought with me and found the hospital gown so much easier for learning to nurse. This would have been great!!

Thanks for sharing this! I had no idea something like this was out there! I like the I Dream of Mai Tai's one. Im not a drinker at all but for some odd reason I have been craving cocktails this pregnancy...How unfair is that LOL. I also love the I Dream of Coffee one. Not to big on sushi so i think ill be buying one of these, or maybe both one for during labor and delivery one for afterwards. You know it will get "dirty" Oh and they also have "A dressed up delivery" collection

These are so stinkin' cute, I deliver in Dec. & can't wait now! When I gave birth to my daughter I was given an episiotomy so the last thing on my mind was getting prettied up when visitors came because I was in so much pain... I didn't care to get up & change, well little did I think about the pictures later in the awful unflattering hospital gown, now I can lounge, enjoy baby & still look cute!
Thanks for sharing Cool Moms!

Great idea and I LOVE the price point. I know from personal experience that you tend to spend the good $$ on the baby-to-be and not so much on the mom-to-be. $25 isn't too much to ask for a small amount of dignity.

Well done!!
