A little retro red, white, and blue

I'm all about dressing my kids in festive attire when a holiday rolls around, but I prefer when I can put them in it well beyond that one special day. In other words, no "Happy Independence Day 2010" tees for us today.

What I do love though is this sweet summer tank dress from Misha Lulu, a CMP fave that's known for their cool fabric combinations and unique designs.

I'm big on the adorable retro graphics paired with the fun, bright skirt, making this summer beach dress a lovely change from the bright pink and purple duds that are strewn about my daughter's closet lately. I'm also smitten with the diving tunic with the cinched waist, which makes a stylish compliment to basic leggings or skinny denim capris. And if you didn't notice, both pieces hail the patriotic colors without the flag motif overkill.
