Artwork for Sid (or Nancy) the Science Kid

periodic table alphabet printsAttention science geeks: The nursery art of your dreams is here. Etsy printmaker Shannon Blank has turned the periodic table into alphabet prints that can be assembled to spell out your child's name. In fact, I don't think you even have to be a science geek to appreciate how much cooler this is than some cards with Pooh bear spelling out the letters with his body.

True chemistry experts will say but hey! What about J, Q and W?  Well Shannon's taken care of those letters too if you don't mind a little poetic license -- J is Jennerium in honor of Edward Jenner. Good news if you've got a little Jacqueline or Jaelithe whose room needs some spiffing up. -Liz

Find the periodic table alphabet at Luminous Dream Designs on etsy and save 10% through 10-22-09 when you mention code "cool mom" in notes to seller when you order.

EXTRA-COOL: WIN IT! One lucky CMP readers (US) will win a set of three 8.5x11 letter prints of your choice from Shannon's shop. To enter, email contests@coolmompicks.com by midnight tonight with LUMINOUS in the subject and tell us what the W stands for on her prints. Good luck!
