A dog tag that's the cat's meow

Asha Patel dog tag necklaceAlthough technically Atlanta designer Asha Patel calls her series of necklaces "revamped lockets" I actually think they're too edgy and cool to be called anything other than designer dog tags.

I liked the Lotus Flower pendant so much that I took it out for a test drive and not only did my friends all notice it, but they really liked it. I have to say, it makes me feel very hip with a touch of Zen chic thrown in for good measure.

The hand-cast oxidized sterling silver has a brushed, worn-in look about it-- think distressed leather. And two of the five pendant styles have a photo holder so can you tuck your kid's school picture (or true love's smiling mug) into the back.

Start hinting about it now-- less than two weeks until Valentine's Day. -Betsy
