Sometimes you touch an article of children’s clothing and it is so buttery soft, so absolutely luxurious, it makes you want to toss everything else your kid has been wearing pronto. That’s how I felt when I first caressed the exquisitely soft and stretchy modal cotton of the childrens apron dress from Baby Eggi.
The shop is run by LA film exec and mom Jennifer Ahn-Newman and her fashion industry sister Julie Anh-Kim, and let’s just say we expect big things from them. The totally adorable dress is a throwback to a classic kids style but with an updated silhouette and modern color combos. I really love how much use we can get out of it; in the summer it will look sweet over bare knees, or toss an over a tee in the Fall and send her off to school looking cute as the floral buttons on the two front pockets.
