While adoptive parents can certainly document a baby's first steps, first foods, and first booger-flnging incident like any other, the baby book pages about prepartum cravings can be a little awkward in their emptiness. So I think it's absolutely smashing to discover author Zoe Francesca's My Family, My Journey, a memory book for adoptive families that we spotted at illustrator Susie Ghahremani's BoyGirl Party Shop.
Susie's lovely artwork beautifully complements sections relevant to these special families - the book even includes two family trees. And I really like that it gives you space to write about your first year with us, as opposed to your first year - so parents adopting toddlers or older kids are included too.
Can you say awesome shower gift? -Liz
Congrats winner Amy G!
