Pavarotti Lives On
The passing of opera great Luciano Pavarotti this week has taken a wee bit of sunshine out of the world. In his honor, we found the Barefoot Book of Stories From the Opera by Shahrukh Husain, at one of our favorite publisher's sites.
The book tells the stories of several popular operas that will entice even the youngest readers. Combined with a CD (narrated by Miranda Richardson!) so that kids can listen and read, Stories From the Opera will help familiarize them with some of the greatest music and stories ever told, even without Pavorotti here to help us bring them to life.
Music researchers say familiarity breeds preference. Heck, I'll just take appreciation and respect. -Kristen
