We at CMP are sooooo over the over-the-top birthday parties for kids. While yes, we all want something that's creative and different and memorable, maybe blinging out your kids' invites with real diamonds and a voice chip that plays a birthday message recorded personally for you by Bono isn't so appropriate for a second birthday.
We're big fans of the (shockingly hard-to-find) simple invitations and cards from mom-run In Good Company Designs. The colors are modern, the papers are high-quality, and motifs include things kids really like, like monkeys and rocket ships. You can even get thank you notes, flat cards, and return labels to match.
Sweet, charming, tasteful and entirely devoid of hipster irony. Can you handle it? -Liz
