Princesses Climb Monkeybars Too
Unless it's time for soccer practice, my daughter won't get near a pair of sneakers. With her active day at preschool in mind, I try to persuade her to try on funky hi-tops or sporty slip-ons, but she always gravitates toward the sparkly, princessy shoes. Finding something we both like is a minor miracle.
Fortunately, I think I've found a happy solution in one of the brand new shoe designs from CMP fave Livie and Luca. The Orange Fun Dots style features multicolored dots (what else!) and hearts on a bright orange Mary Jane shoe. They're girlie enough to meet with my daughter's approval, but the rubber sole makes them comfortable enough for jumping and running in the playground. A win-win scenario.
I can only imagine the shoe debates come prom time. Luckily I've got a few years to prepare for that. -Nancy
